Thanks to generous support from Marius, I'm happy to announce that
TechMeetup Stirling is now a thing! This is the evolution of the Falkirk
Linux User Group, as we felt is was time to make some changes to that group.
So! We'll be meeting on the first Tuesday of each month, from about
6.30pm, at CodeBase Stirling in the Hotdesking area. Here's a map:
It's within an easy walk of the train station, and there's ample parking
on side streets around Albert Place, if you're coming by car.
The format will be very similar to Edinburgh TechMeetup - introductions,
talks, pub. The only difference is that we don't currently have the
budget to provide free food, so we'll get that at the pub after.
This month we'll have two "talks", starting from around 7pm:
* First, I'll introduce the TechMeetup format for those new to our group
* then we'll have a talk from Steven Revill on Developing Data Science
for the public sector
We'll then retire to the pub, as is TMU tradition. Exactly which pub is
to be decided
Hopefully I'll see some of you there!
